Recently, according to the Hubei Provincial Department of Natural Resources website, in March 2025, the average price of 65% scheelite concentrate in Hubei was 139,821 yuan/ton, up approximately 11.75% year-on-year; 60% scheelite concentrate averaged 138,821 yuan/ton, up about 11.40% year-on-year; APT (ammonium paratungstate) averaged 208,060 yuan/ton, up approximately 12.26% year-on-year; and tungsten carbide powder averaged 307,429 yuan/ton, up about 12.14% year-on-year.
According to CTIA GROUP LTD, in March 2025, the tungsten market experienced a tug-of-war in prices due to tight supply of tungsten mineral resources and a demand shortage in the smelting/alloy sector. The average price of 65% wolframite concentrate in China was 140,900 yuan/ton, down 2.69% month-on-month but up 11.83% year-on-year, with the end-of-month price 1.05% lower than the beginning of the month. The average price of 65% scheelite concentrate was 139,900 yuan/ton, down 2.71% month-on-month but up 11.92% year-on-year, with the end-of-month price 1.06% lower than the start of the month. APT averaged 208,500 yuan/ton, down 1.97% month-on-month but up 12.10% year-on-year, with the end-of-month price unchanged from the beginning of the month. Tungsten carbide powder averaged 308.14 yuan/kg, down 1.75% month-on-month but up 11.67% year-on-year, with the end-of-month price 0.64% lower than the start of the month.
In March 2025, Hubei’s 40%-42% molybdenum concentrate averaged 3,337 yuan/ton-degree, down approximately 0.92% year-on-year; 45%-47% molybdenum concentrate averaged 3,367 yuan/ton-degree, down about 0.62% year-on-year.
According to CTIA GROUP LTD, in March 2025, China’s molybdenum product prices initially fell before rising, with steel tender volumes for ferromolybdenum totaling around 15,000 tons. Average prices included: molybdenum concentrate at 3,403 yuan/ton-degree, down 4.57% month-on-month and 0.21% year-on-year; ferromolybdenum at 222,333 yuan/ton, down 3.38% month-on-month and 0.68% year-on-year; and molybdenum oxide at 3,520 yuan/ton-degree, down 3.98% month-on-month but up approximately 0.43% year-on-year.
In March 2025, Hubei’s 30% copper concentrate averaged 20,744 yuan/ton, 65% lead concentrate averaged 8,955 yuan/ton, 55% zinc concentrate averaged 9,862 yuan/ton, Au99.95 averaged 694.31 yuan/gram, and silver concentrate (≥1000g/t) averaged 6,474 yuan/kg.
